The Gers was originally one of the largest wine regions in France, more than 100 years ago. But after a European contamination of all fruit varieties in Europe, fewer winegrowers have returned to the Gers. But there are still many nice wine estates to discover and delicious tastings to do

CHATEAU ARTON
We have already been to this family domain twice, which is located about 7 minutes from our house. The wines are delicious, each and every one of them. In a beautiful ambiance with tasty snacks, it is really a pleasure to be here.
Arton is a family vineyard of 88 hectares. The Montal family matures the vines, their wines and a rare Haut Armagnac AOC. The first Armagnac to receive the Prix d’Excellence at the Concours Général Agricole. During the tour that precedes the tasting, it is explained how the excellent taste is achieved.
